• Yemek.com, the content platform of Yemeksepeti, realised a special project for the 100th anniversary of the Republic. Inspired by the 10th Anniversary Republic Ball held in Ankara Palas in 1933, nostalgic and modern flavours were brought together at the table. This interactive experience was enriched with products from seven regions of Turkey and the core values of the Republic.

Yemek.com, one of the most visited food websites in Turkey, celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Republic with a special project. Inspired by the 10th Anniversary Republic Ball in 1933, which was attended by the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, a table was prepared that combines nostalgic flavours and modern dishes signed by Yemek.com, symbolising the values of the republic.
In this table, which combines both historical and modern elements, the Yemek.com team created a black-and-white table on the left side. This table was inspired by the 10th Anniversary Republic Ball held at Ankara Palas on 29 October 1933 with the participation of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. In this way, 5 nostalgic flavours from this ball are brought to the present day.

Colourful plates of modern Turkey

On the colourful right side of the table, a completely different concept is presented. In response to the question “If we could invite all our users to this table in honour of the 100th anniversary of our Republic, which dishes would we serve?”, Yemek.com chef created modern plates. The 5 plates here are filled with values representing secularism, equality, freedom, unity and Atatürk. It is also remarkable that products from seven regions of Turkey were used in the creation of the plates.

An interactive experience

The project is not only a visual feast, but also an interactive experience. The table can be accessed from the special section at yemek.com/cumhuriyet, which was established under Yemek.com. In this special section, users are first greeted with a text containing general information about the project. Then, by clicking on the plus signs on the plates, users can access short information about the dishes. When the “See Recipe” button is clicked, users are directed to recipe pages with detailed preparation stages.

The team of yemek.com has also prepared a video telling the story of this special project. The video includes details such as how the table was created, which values were emphasised and what kind of local products were used.
