- Taking steps to create positive impacts on user experience with technology and innovation, Yemeksepeti pioneered a brand-new solution in the industry by expanding product and food descriptions on the menus of its partner tradesmen and restaurants using OpenAI’s latest language model, ChatGPT. Guiding descriptions appropriate to product contents were added to over 17,000 products in the Yemeksepeti Mahalle segment, enhancing the user experience and simplifying the ordering process.
Yemeksepeti aims to increase the proportion of products with descriptions to over 91% by the end of the year for the food platform that meets users’ immediate food needs, and to 40% for the Yemeksepeti Mahalle side that enables users to meet their grocery needs from local shops.
Yemeksepeti, the pioneer of fast trade in Turkey, took robust steps to implement the “ChatGPT Supported Menu” project, a part of its strategy to improve service quality. Initiated in March 2023, this project increased the rate of product descriptions on the menus of tradesmen in the Yemeksepeti Mahalle service network by approximately 12%.
Yemeksepeti, aiming to increase the proportion of products with descriptions to over 91% for the food platform and to 40% for Yemeksepeti Mahalle by the end of the year, is making both its business partners and users happy with the positive impact on order numbers. The expansion of product descriptions allows users to make more conscious decisions when choosing their favorite Mahalle products and enhances their overall ordering experience.
Member restaurant menus are now more understandable and rich
Under the Dish Description Generation project planned for the first week of June, it is aimed to introduce approximately 115,000 product descriptions to users with the help of ChatGPT technology. Yemeksepeti, which will enrich and improve the food descriptions in the menus of member restaurants with artificial intelligence support, plans to increase the menu details from 88% to 91% with an average 3-point growth in the number of products with food descriptions by using OpenAI’s latest language model, ChatGPT.
Users’ ordering process is getting easier
Yemeksepeti, part of Delivery Hero, continues to lead both the local and global markets with a 88% success rate in product description fulfillment, one of its content quality targets. Yemeksepeti aims to exceed its target by reaching a 91% coverage for total food descriptions in restaurant menus by June 2023.
Alongside tracking and implementing current technologies, efforts to bring the most accurate, detailed, and rich menus to users for both newly added and existing restaurants continue intensively.
