- Yemeksepeti, in cooperation with the Türk Kızılay, launched a special aid movement for earthquake victims this year. Within the scope of the project named “Birlikten Lezzet Doğar”, Yemeksepeti users will be able to send iftar donations to the earthquake victims during Ramadan. Yemeksepeti will also support this movement with iftar donations to the container city in Elbistan.
Yemeksepeti, the leading brand of fast commerce in Turkey, is reviving the aid campaign it launched after the earthquake disaster in February last year under the name “Birlikten Lezzet Doğar”, which reflects the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan and the unifying power of food. With this special project, Yemeksepeti offers its users the opportunity to donate meals to earthquake victims during Ramadan.
More than one meal can be donated
Those who wish to contribute to this meaningful initiative, which is open to all Yemeksepeti users across Turkey, can support the earthquake victims with multiple iftar options on the platform.
The Türk Kızılay will regularly distribute these meal donations to those in need from soup kitchens in the earthquake zones during Ramadan. The meals will be distributed by the Türk Kızılay’s experienced caterers in a wide range of areas, including soup kitchens, container cities and tents. Thus, earthquake-affected citizens will have access to free iftar meals during Ramadan.
A network of solidarity across Turkey
Yemeksepeti is also making a significant contribution by donating 5,500 meals to the project on its behalf. Yemeksepeti’s iftar donations will be used for 11 days of iftar service in the container city in Elbistan. Launched on March 11 and running until April 7, Yemeksepeti aims to combine the power of technology and solidarity to bring hope to earthquake victims.
The Birlikten Lezzet Doğar movement, launched in cooperation with Yemeksepeti and the Türk Kızılay, emphasizes feelings of solidarity and sharing in the spirit of Ramadan. The importance of coming together to support each other in these difficult times is reminded once again, and a network of solidarity is established across Turkey.
